"to get in a situation in which there is no way- out in which the same things keep repeating themselves over and over again following the same order or process"
"Body language refers to the nonverbal signals that you use to communicate your feelings and intentions. It includes your posture, your facial expressions and your hand gestures."
Is your body language coherent with your words ?
The body speaks what the words can't tell.
Saying the same things with body and voice has something to do with coherence
A neuroscientific perspective on well-being by Richard Davidson :
(add subtitles in English is you wish to)
Some notes taken from the speech:
➤ neuroplasticity : the brain changes in response to experience and in response to training.
➞ we can shape our brains for the good. ➤ the bi-directional highways between the brain and the body. ➝ cultivating well-being through transforming our mind will
change the brain in ways that can impact the body. ➤ we come into the world with innate basic goodness. ➝ cultivate kindness and compassion.
➽ The four constituents of well-being:
1. Resilience :
- rapidly recover from adversity ➙ regulated from training
2. Tha ability to have a background glow of positive emotions.
During the celebration of International Women's Day on March 8th, 2020 I read , with some students, a bit of poetry and prose.
A vivid memory which I wanted to share with you.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits.
The rebels. The troublemakers. The round
pegs in the square holes. The ones who
see things differently. They’re not
fond of rules. And they have
no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve
them, glorify or vilify them. About the
only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they
change things. They invent.
They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the
human race forward. Maybe they
have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in
silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a
red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? While some
may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change
the world, are the ones
who do.
Jack Kerouac
Brindemos por
las locas, por las inadaptadas
por las rebeldes, por las alborotadoras,
por las que no encajan, por las que ven las cosas de una manera diferente. No
les gustan las reglas y no respetan el statu
quo.
Puedes alabarlas, no estar de acuerdo con ellas,
citarlas, cuestionarlas, glorificarlas o vilipendiarlas.

novelist and poet (1922-1969), pioneer of the Beat Generation (1950) – On the road.]
